Curly hair is gorgeous, always creating an aura of lovely, innocent yet sensual look. The dictate of current fashion styles is all about enhancing femininity and hot curly hairstyles for 2010 are following the same pattern.

Beautiful vibrant curls with short, medium of long hair lengths that define and add the right bounce and movement to the curls are the latest trend in curly hairstyles. Check the many different fabulous hairstyle possibilities you can try and look stunningly stylish and trendy with those curly locks anywhere, anytime.

Long and Casual

A long casual curly hairstyle can be described as flexible and carefree, with natural texture and bounce that cascades spontaneously on its own. You can wear this hairstyle to any evening event or day jaunt. It can be worn with varying layered lengths from under the shoulders to one-length styles; although layers are much more preferred by many women as they help relieve some of the hair's weight and give it just the right volume and bounce. Keep the first layers at shoulder length so the remaining locks fall down loosely. A few flicks here and there can add style; and strands that delicately curl to frame and soften your face can make you look truly stunning.

The latest long and casual curly hairstyle craze is the "Farrah do". The wavy tousled look has just recently made another grand entrance to become one of the hottest curly hairstyles for 2010. Inspired by below-the-shoulder blunt hairstyles from the 1970s, this hairstyle needs lots of hair or hair extensions - volume, volume, and volume. So start investing on volumizers now, such as mousse and root lifting gels; and you absolutely need a blow dryer, curling iron or hot rollers. Of course, there's only one way to finish - a blast of hairspray!

Medium and Sexy

If the length of your curly hair is not too long or too short, especially that which falls just below the chin, then you're in for a fabulous and sexy medium curly hairstyle. This hairstyle is mostly preferred by women with natural curly hair, although you can still get the right curls with hair rollers, curling irons or perms.

You have to get the right cut and right amount of layering to the curly locks to achieve the definition and bounce you want. Side swept bangs that fall around mid ear length can add a more stylish chic look. This hairstyle doesn't require much sophisticated hairstyling so simple loose curls with a simple hair accessory or jewelry can look absolutely gorgeous.

Short and "Messy"

It's not as easy and spontaneous to create a short messy curly hairstyle as others think. You need to have the necessary techniques and "know-how" to give the uncombed look a touch of elegance that you always admire in people who wear this hairstyle. The perfect "messy" should have fullness without being too full or too rounded or too curled so that it moves naturally. Hair rollers or a curling iron can help put just the right amount of fullness and movement into your short curly hair.

You may want to try some variations. Divide hair into side parting; if bangs are long enough you can include them. Get a piece of hair from the bigger parting and pin it up with a cute hair slide. Add hairspray and shine spray and you're good to go and dazzle them.

The big thing with hot curly hairstyles for 2010 is to maintain tousled loose curls and depict a sexy, carefree look to the hair. So be au currant, get modern day curls and stay ahead of the hair fashion scene.

Shaggy Hairstyles

Shaggy hairstyles never go completely out of fashion. There's something about a cut that gives you the messy-on-purpose look everyone loves (and continues to love.) The angular edges and pieces that move give an attitude of cool and sexy. Shaggy, or  "shag", hairstyles are a great solution for people who don't want to spend hours getting ready but still want to look trendy and stylish.

Shaggy hairstyles look best on hair colors with a lot of depth. Depth can be created with lowlights and highlights. It is important  you get a beautician who really knows how to give a good cut. While many stylists have the skills, find someone who has some experience.  The shag is a bit more difficult than some might expect. A great cut makes the look much more manageable and easy to style. You will need to go back for a trim often to keep your shaggy hair looking just right.

Most shaggy hairstyles include some sort of bangs that can be custom cut to best compliment your face shape. Never let your hair go flat or look dirty. The key is to look like you didn't try too hard on your hair, but that is still looks amazing.

If you want to define shaggy hairstyles then you should probably refer to messy looks. Shaggy hairstyles became very famous a few decades ago, although they are getting back in vogue lately - especially since increasingly more people want to have a carefree and easy going look.

Shaggy hairstyles are usually worn by people who want to feature a confident and laid back attitude. It is a style that needs minimum maintenance and minimum preparation - before going out. Shags include layers, in general, although the style of layers, their length and their type varies.

Shags work well with all kinds of hair, although typically the finer and thinner hair is not easy to maintain as it tends to weight down after some time. Thinner hair needs some styling products in order to maintain and tame the layers and shags. Generally, shaggy hairstyles need some trimming once in two months or a little less, depending on the length and type of hair. One of their greatest advantages is that the raged ends usually are not that visible, due to the erratic cut.

Medium Hairstyles

Women always want to renew their image and style and to find new pats to express themselves and often this happens through the hairstyle. Here is where the medium hairstyles find their place. Those are the hairstyles with strands reaching the shoulders. They are a perfect option to the long hair when you need to cut and revive your damaged locks.

The medium hairstyles give you many great alternatives and abundance of different looks. There are many ways to style a gorgeous medium length hair whether straight, waved or curly, with body and flexibility.

Medium hairstyles can be tied in a pony tail or with a clutch for the purpose of comfort. They do not require many setting procedures and maintenance products. Another advantage is that both center and side-parting looks apt in medium styles. Highlighting medium styles add some extra detail in the look. It makes the layers look more prominent and defined.

Medium hairstyles are also divided into two categories, formal medium hairstyle and casual medium hairstyle. Formal styles are neat, structured, and require styling procedures. They are normally carried for a short span of time i.e. while attending a formal occasion like wedding, awards function, farewell party, etc. The style is kept intact using hair sprays, rollers, clips, pins, and bands.

There are hundreds of medium hairstyles for both men and women today. Too short does not compliment many people's facial structures, and too long is too difficult to take care of for most people. Medium is indeed that "happy medium", and luckily there are many ways to go about styling hair in this length.

Many feel that only women obsess over their hair, but many men can be found guilty of this as well. Men are more conscious about their hairstyle than ever, and there are plenty of medium hairstyles possible for them to get the best look possible. Most men tend to wear their hair short, but there are some equally stylish and masculine medium styles for them to consider as well.

With women, medium hairstyles are far more common. There is just more that you can do with a woman's hair, and the huge range of styles that a woman can wear displays just that. Even if she just has it cut medium, she herself can curl it, mousse it, shake it up.. whatever she wants to do with her hair, she can.

One of the most basic things to consider or medium hair is how to part it. While this may seem like a given or a small detail, the part will dictate what can be done with the hair. One style may require that the hair be parted on one side to a certain degree, while another may require that it be parted in the middle -- and more yet will require that the hair be brushed backwards and not parted at all. The part alone can dictate which medium hairstyles are possible, though it is easy enough to brush the part in another direction and move from there.

Mohawk Hairstyles

Mohawk hairstyles are in the category of hairstyles that make an instant statement on the wearer, with regard to the wearer's sense of style; and perhaps the wearer's celebration of their personal uniqueness. Being spotted wearing hairstyle shows that you are not afraid to be yourself - and this can be a great attraction to others out there. It is, after all, an indisputable fact that people who are not afraid to be themselves are a great attraction to one and all.

The origins of the Mohawk hairstyle can probably be traced back to the American Indians (the natives who lived where USA is today before the coming of the 'settlers') - who wore it, not as a special fashion statement, but an 'ordinary' hair style in the society. Settlers who came across the hairstyles had to take notice; in spite of their indifference to their 'hosts' the red Indians - since Mohawk hairstyle are such that you simply cannot opt to ignore them.

Of course, while the settlers appreciated the hairstyles uniqueness, it was to be quite a long period of time before the more 'eccentric' of them could come to gather the courage to be spotted wearing the Mohawk hairstyle themselves.Today, hairstyles have found widespread acceptance, though the fact that they do set apart the wearer (ironically, even if the wearer is an Indian American) still stands.

Among the categories of people among whom hairstyle find widespread appeal include the Indian Americans themselves (who probably wear them as a sign of pride in their rich cultural heritage), and punk rockers - to whom wearing Mohawk hairstyle is part of their chosen lifestyle. To make the Mohawk hair even more outstanding, many wearers often opt to incorporate color into the hair-scheme; and indeed this is fast becoming the rule rather than the exception as far as hairstyles go. Mohawk hairstyles come in a number of varieties. One of the most remarkable is the 'Horse mane' hairstyle. This works well for medium sized hair; and it is one hair style that will get people really talking.

Another great hairstyle is the 'short and spiky' Mohawk variety - and this is viable even for people whose hair is not long enough to accommodate the Horses' mane Mohawk hairstyle, though even the medium-sized hair can still benefit from the short and spiky hairstyle. The long and pointy hairstyle is yet another option as far as Mohawks go - and this is probably the most commonly sighted of all hairstyle; being the favorite to punk rockers as it seems to be. To get the long and pointy Mohawk hairstyle, what one needs to do is first grow their hair long, and once it has acquired the required length (which is long enough to be stranded, but not long enough to flow over the back); mold it into the sharp strands that make the 'long and pointy' hairstyle - taking care to ensure that the strands stand upright, as it is of course the uprightness of the strands that makes it a Mohawk hairstyle.

Short hairstyles have been popular for women since the 1920's. Louise Brooks's bob hairstyle in 1917 became the most popular hairstyle of the 1920's. Short hairstyles are fun, sexy, flirty, and easy to take care of. Considering face shape and personality are important when considering a short hairstyle. An oval shaped face really suits any style of hair, while a heart shaped face my look fuller at the chin with a layered bob hairstyle that has ends that flick outward at the bottom. A square face can be softened with layers and soft curls and an off centered part can help break up the symmetry. A round face does well with a feathered cut and layers coming forward to help slim down a fuller looking face. Bangs help to disguise a long forehead on a long face while a chin length cut will help to add volume and fullness to help broaden the face.

The next consideration is the personality. A bold shape like a square-looking bob with short blunt fringe needs a strong personality. A side swept bang on a classic shag with flipped up ends looks great on a flirty feminine personality.

Another consideration is body type and a petite gal may look best with shorter styles that give a little pop and helps the body gain balance. A side part and sleek straight bob is a very hip look.

Hair texture is another trait to consider and for example, fine, straight hair that lacks texture may do well with layers and long bangs. Chin length hair will add body and volume. The use of thickening spray and other volumizing products will also help.

Your hairstylist can help you come with the perfect short hairstyle for you. He or she will consider your face shape, hair texture, personality, and body shape while coming up with the perfect plan to transform your hair into the perfect short hairstyle. Whether you are looking for that get-ahead-at-work professional hairstyle or just looking for something new, fun, sexy, and flirty, a new short hairstyle is sure to be the ticket.

Lotus with AUM Tattoo

By thr_80 | At 8:28 PM | Label : , | 0 Comments

AUM is the primeval, audible and inaudible sound of Hindu creation, also thought to mysteriously embody the very essense of the universe. Chanted at the beginning and end of prayers and mantras and also used as a form of meditation, it is pronounced with three sounds, A-U-M.

Lotus, according to the Egyptians, it was the first flower of the universe, and from it sprang the first gods. Many of the ancient pillars of monumental architecture in Egypt are actually designed as bunches of lotuses.

In Hinduism, the lotus blossom is one of the most important symbols used in spirituality and art. Brahma, the Hindu creator of the world, was born from a lotus blossom that grew from the navel of Vishnu on the water. However, the lotus paired with Om has a particularly significant Buddhist association.

In Buddhism, the lotus is thought to symbolize the Buddha's nature, pure and ascendant.

Along with Aum, it is part of the most famous of Buddhist mantras

Select the location on your body where you want your tattoo. The size and shape of the area can greatly affect the type of design you should choose.
Decide on what size you want it and what colors to use.
