2013 Hyundai Elantra

2013 Hyundai Elantra: Coupe is all-new and the compact’s fluidic sculpture design language transfers well to the two-door; in fact, we think the Elantra Coupe looks more handsome than the sedan. The sharp character line running from behind the front wheel up to the taillights is more dynamic in the Elantra Coupe thanks to a faster descending angle. Inside, the same premium interior we love from the Elantra sedan carries over.

Hyundai expects the GT to score 28/39 mpg city/highway in EPA testing with either the automatic or manual, tying the Mazda 3 5-Door for second place in the compact hatch class after the 29/42 mpg Volkswagen Golf TDI. Perhaps Hyundai will need to add an asterisk to the Elantra’s advertised fuel economy since the Elantra GT won’t hit the magic mark of 40 mpg on the highway.
